Frequently asked questions
We’ve been gathering in East Hill since Feb 2026, and our hope is to keep growing deep roots here for many years ahead... loving Pensacola, opening God’s Word, and welcoming more neighbors into the fellowship.
Our current directors (Bill Striepeck, Dave McCormack, Gabriel Thompson) serve on the legal board of Pensacola Bible Fellowship, guarding the church’s mission, doctrine, and finances while also fulfilling the state’s nonprofit requirements. In legal documents they are called “directors,” but Scripture reminds us in 1 Timothy 3 that what ultimately matters is the role and character of an overseer, not the title on the line; that is why, per our bylaws, these men must meet the biblical qualifications for elders in Titus 1 and 1 Timothy 3, and the position is intentionally patterned after New Testament eldership.
Pastor Dale Lewis is currently serving Pensacola Bible Fellowship, bringing more than 30 years of steady interim support and faithful pastoral teaching as we walk through this season together. Our Board of Directors, in line with our bylaws, is caring for day‑to‑day needs while we move toward a formally recognized elder board that reflects New Testament patterns of leadership. At the same time, we are in active exploratory conversations with pastoral candidates who have been seeking us out through trusted networks and seminary connections, asking the Lord to provide the right man to shepherd and lead this fellowship into the future.
